not quite

Hello hello everyone so I have a confession to make. I had 'big' plans this evening to pop in here with a yummy popsicle recipe for my make something monday post but after dinner we popped these homemade orange coconut creamsicles out and well - they got mixed reviews.

The boys thought they were good, I thought they were okay and Mr. Gough thought they taste a bit like barf. :) Don't worry he said it sweetly. I enjoyed the sprinkles that we added on top because sprinkles make even barfy popsicles taste pretty good. ha! Anyways I thought I should come out with it since I mentioned it in my earlier post and let you know that I am going back to the drawing board before sharing any recipes. I am after a really yummy creamsicle taste but without the dairy - any suggestions or awesome recipes for me? Maybe I should skip the creamscicles and go straight for these mojito popsicles instead they look pretty yummy!

So in the mean time tell me what's your favorite homemade popsicle recipe? I would love to hear! Hope you had a great day today will be back soon!

  1. I just made some from smoothies and they are dairy free. Orange juice, frozen strawberries, mango, pineapple, papaya. (I buy the frozen fruit from Costco) Blend and freeze. It taste soooo good!!

  2. Texture-wise, my favorite are always yogurt ones. If you have a soy-yogurt fav, prob. just blend it with a little fruit - OR DON'T - and freeze?

  3. Awww...sorry to hear they didn't turn out so hot. Don't ya hate that when a recipe let's ya down. I had that happen recently. Such a bummer. Oh well...at least your loved ones were sweet and honest about it. Gotta love and appreciate that. My hubby is good about letting me know {in a kind way} if something I've made doesn't taste that hot. :-)

Look forward to hearing though if any of your other readers have a great creamsicle recipe to share.

    Best,

  4. Blueberrys, strawberries and a glug of yoghurt makes an excellent smoothie which also freezes really well. I eat Alpro Soya yoghurt {lactose free!} which works just fine in that.

  10. I made popsicles today for the first time for my one-year-old daughter. We used a recipe from the book, Ice Pop Joy, by Anni Daulter. I think I have a new favorite snack option!
