the Olson Family

I had so much fun with this beautiful family on our mini shoot session last week! The cutest kids ever cracking me up the entire time, I was in heaven getting to know them a bit during our short visit at Lincoln Park in West Seattle. At one point Toni and I were talking about life with little ones super close in age and I just felt like I wished we could go grab a cup of coffee and hang out all afternoon...a fast friend in this gorgeous mother I was super blessed by our time together and look forward to seeing them again!

PS. I learned a few things on the shoot...first of all I have a ridiculous baby voice when I am in the middle of photographing little ones. I swear I NEVER use a baby voice any other time - ha! And um, bringing backup memory cards is kind of important...whoops, luckily they were the sweetest with me and I don't believe I will ever do that again! :)

PPS. Nissa - you are the winner of the Linkel Designs Giveaway, congratulations!!

  7. I am poking around blogs found on inspired by charm's blog roll and when I clicked on yours I thought PNW! I saw the ferry in the background and wondered where you were. I live on Bainbridge Island so ferries are a familiar sight. Well, as I looked further and also went to your FB page I discovered that I "know" you! Actually, your husband's family. Velma Evans was my SS teacher and is a lifelong friend of my mother's. Jim Evans and I grew up together, same schools, same church. I know your in-laws, your aunt Kathy Kaseburg, etc., etc. AND I believe you know my sister, Laura Burgi. Small world indeed. Velma has talked about Chris over the years because I have a son named Chris, too! Glad to have found A Bit of Sunshine (great name for a PNW blog). Regards, Barbara Brown Livdahl

  8. Obviously time has gotten away from me lately as it has probably been a week since I've had a chance to visit your blog (thus I am just seeing this post)! I cannot thank you enough for the beautiful photos that you captured of our family. I had absolute faith in your talent and abilities and you definitely proved me right! And to top that, you turned them around so ridiculously quickly (next day, people!) so we could use some on our holiday card. That can't be easy with four kids! I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to meet you and I would love to sit down for coffee sometime! Hmm, somewhere with a good play area...;)
