Ten on Ten :: August 2013

Oh what a day what a day...Chris has come down with strep throat too. It's just never good when both parents are down. I am documenting that little bit of information here because I know one day I will look back on these photos and might forget that it was a pretty exhausting and hard day for the books. But I do want to remember because it helps me see the balance of beauty and struggle that life truly is. I love the bits of beauty that were still found around me. I loved getting a chance to work on a little diy project. I will laugh at the photo of Zeb helping himself to watermelon on the counter because I left the room for to long and so he climbed out of his highchair to get another piece. I love my girls wild blond curls and the hands of a grandpa who lovingly dropped by three times today to deliver goods to our front door. I love the bits of life in these photos and the fight I find deep inside to keep moving forward on days like today. I am blessed to have the chance to use my camera to step back and observe life from this angle. Today might have been a little hard but it was still so good.

Looking forward to seeing what you found too off to check out the other Ten on Ten sets next!!

  4. Beautiful photos, beautiful children! I agree that it can be a blessing to do ten on ten even when you don't feel like it. Those moments of beauty are even more appreciated. Hope you're all feeling better soon.

  8. The guitar in the mirror above the piano. And those curls. Impressed you're so visually adept even with strep. : )

  9. So sorry to hear that you're dealing with Strep. I swear I could endure surgery better than strep throat! Hope you all are feeling much better - and in the midst of it all, such stunning beautiful shots.

  10. I love how you documented what else was going on that day, for your sake as well as ours, the readers. This is such a good habit to look for the beauty even on the hard days. And there is such beauty here.

Curious as to what you're doing with the instagrams, maybe a Make Something Monday post? I'm wondering because I have a lot of pictures to deal with and looking for inspiration. =)

  13. Rebekah, you take such lovely pics and have such a beautiful family. I am glad you added the sentiment at the bottom. I know on instagram we often see such beautiful pics but it is only a small snippet of the full picture. Usually its the smile right before a total meltdown that is captured or the moment of peace before a timeout. Etc. You are right though having the document to look back on will give you peace about how you were able to get through the chaos of the moment!! Hey, what were those pic pages you had? I was wondering if you printed them from instagram pics? I was wondering if you have a good source for printing instagram pics? Hope all is well and you are all feeling better.
