Josie is 13 months...Mommy is 13 weeks

You could say we got a little SURPRISE!

I am not sure if I can count this as a make something monday post but I have been dying to share some news with you...I am pregnant. :)

And surprised is right. It was more like shock and aw and wonder at how this could even be possible. This really should not be possible.

Having my fourth baby in five years wasn't exactly on my list of things to do in 2012 but you know sometimes God has much different plans than we do. (duh like our entire life for the past year maybe I should get a clue :))

So if it has seemed like I have been a tiny bit MIA the past month and a half it's honestly because I have felt a little bit like this:

...I said I was being honest.

But we are feeling truly blessed and gearing up for our sweet new addition to join us in early May (36 weeks to avoid some personal complications)! And now that I have hit the second trimester I am praying for less nausea and more energy...baby number four here we come!

  9. Congratulations! You are right where I was last year. We had a 5 year old, a (just turned) 4 year old, a (just turned) 2 year old, and one due in May. We had just sold our house, quit hubby's career, and moved to another city so my hubby could attend art school. With much tighter restrictions on budget, time, and space, we decided that we simply must wait before getting preg again...but God had other plans. I spent most of September and October going, "Um, God, are you sure about this??" And now, our sweet one is sleeping peacefully beside me as I type this, and we have been asking ourselves, "How did we ever get along without him??" You are a *very* blessed woman, and I can't wait to see who this little cutie turns out to be! :-)

  14. This very much fits in with the saying, "if you don't think God has a sense of humor, try planning your life" What a blessing! #4 will be an unbelievable blessing to you and your family.

  16. Oh Rebekah, you CAN do this!! It won't always be easy, but someday you will look back and wonder why you ever doubted. The fun is not even imaginable! I promise. AND you might even choose to deliberately add to the brood through adoption when they get bigger. :) My firstborn was just barely 5 when #4 was born...now there are 3 in college, a senior in high school, and the bonus boys in 1st grade. Life is good, God is awesome and He will provide exactly what you need.

The door here is open and the water for tea is hot if you ever want a seasoned (old!) mom's perspective. My boys would delight in a playdate with your boys.

  39. We also had four children in five years ... and then five years later added our fifth! It's a crazy ride, but so fun. Your kids will grow up being best friends and you'll cherish the memories of so many tiny feet in your house at once. Congratulations and may God give you boundless energy, sweet sleep and terrific health!
