the four youngest cousins
These four sweet baby cousins (in birth order Zeb, John, Luke and Elliot) were all dedicated this past Father's Day together at our home church here in Seattle. We had a huge afternoon of celebrating at Grandpa and Grandma Gough's house afterwards and sang rounds of happy birthdays to John and Simon too...played, ate yummy food, dodged the rain and even some thunder, broke a pinata and reveled in the deep blessing of family and friends! It was truly so special to stand side by side in front of the church that we have all been apart of for well over a decade and present our children into their arms to help us raise them up in the love of Jesus. It was a truly marvelous way to spend Father's Day!
Such a fun and memorable time! My sister in law Rachel posted a bit more about the day on her blog too in case you need another cute baby fix. :)
And here is our sweet Zeb on his dedication day (giving me his signature tongue) - such a gift to our family you are my littlest one!

To my sweet Simon Hayes on your seventh birthday - how can it be? Time has flown by so quickly for me. I still see those big baby blues whenever I look into your eyes and that beautiful smile that always lights up the room! You made me a mama exactly seven years ago on one of the most glorious nights of my life. I will never forget that first tiny cry, the shouts of joy, the laughter the praises that sang out when you entered this world and I have loved you more and more each day ever since. I am so proud of the boy that you are becoming and so honored that God chose me to be your mama - it humbles me to think that He would give you to me to teach me so much about His love and grace. You kissed me on the forehead tonight before bed and snuggled in close so grown up already but yet still so small. I want you to know that you're the biggest gift I could ever ask for more perfect to me than anything in the whole world. You have the most beautiful heart and tender spirit and I can't wait to see what this next year holds!

So many smiles today and so much beautiful sunshine! We managed to get our hands dirty and made a special trip to the hardware store for chalkboard making supplies and a bright cactus garden too with six pretty cactus one for each of us! 23/52 + tomorrow is ten on ten
Just a few captures from our sweet Sunday evening outside - it's been quite busy around here the past few weeks and I haven't had a good chance to update this space (I am terribly behind on emails too yikes!) But we have so been enjoying the light and warmer evenings and the end of the year festivities that this time of year bring! I will be here tomorrow for the June installment of Ten on Ten though, looking forward to capturing my day behind the lens and so hoping you will join me!
